Multi-redundant backbone connections to leading internet carriers
To ensure high availability and resilient connectivity for our customers, we operate our own backbone, with direct connections and multiple redundant links to leading European and international network carriers. These currently include Colt, euNetworks/LambdaNet, GTT, fiberring, Hurricane Electric and Cogent Communications.
Our own autonomous system and interconnections at key internet exchange points
To enable efficient and direct routing, our backbone is also interconnected with leading network operators and providers at key internet exchange points. As the operator of our own autonomous system (AS 51906) and a member of the RIPE NCC, we can provide specialised services such as inter-site internet routing and dynamic network connectivity from a single source, with native IPv6 support.Layer 2 connectivity between our data centres also enables specialised scenarios such as data replication and multi-site failover, regardless of geographical location.
Fully redundant network infrastructure from leading technology providers
To achieve high performance and availability, we use equipment and solutions from leading technology providers throughout our backbone. Our core network components are deployed redundantly and designed to tolerate individual component failures. This architecture helps us maintain a high level of availability across our core network. We deliberately avoid relying on a single manufacturer and instead select the technology best suited to each application on a vendor-neutral basis.
